How do I get NorLevo?

You can get NorLevo emergency contraception (EC) from your doctor, through a health centre, a walk-in clinic or a birth control/sexual health clinic. Remember, NorLevo should be taken within 72 hours and preferably within 12 hours of the contraceptive accident, so take clinic and pharmacy opening hours into account when deciding how you will get it.

If you are not sure where to get it:

  • Call the Canadian Federation for Sexual Health’s bilingual hotline (formerly Planned Parenthood Federation of Canada), 1-888-270-7444, for guidance about getting emergency birth control in your area

OR

  • Use the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada clinic locator by clicking here

Should I keep NorLevo on hand? Just in case.
You can obtain NorLevo in advance and store it for use in case of an emergency, but remember that you should not rely on EC as your primary method of birth control.
